OK, so I’ve been pretty busy lately and since Criminal Minds Season 7 is taking FOREVER to Air where I live I’m pretty irritated and haven’t been following the series as much as I usually would/should be. But when I was watching YouTube clips today I read that Emily Prentiss is leaving, for good this time! And I was like “what? I haven’t even seen the Seventh Season and Emily is leaving?” So I read the article here: http://tvline.com/2012/02/15/criminal-minds-paget-brewster-leaving/ and found out the whole story and it’s really just a shame.
Basically when Paget and A.J. were, effectively, given the boot from CBS and their contracts were re-hired Paget found out that she still had another year on her contract that she didn’t know about and CBS wanted it back. So she returned because they told her that they would sue her if she didn’t give them that year. Instead of what she wanted which was, and rightly so, an apology and a raise. Considering that Thomas Gibson re-negotiated his own contract and several male cast members were given raises it would seem that Paget should deserve one but they said no.
So it looks like Paget won’t be returning in Season 8 which is ok by me as long as they give her character a good finish. I mean the last one was so EPIC that I had no choice but to love it but they can’t really kill her off this time because they kind of already did that before. I have a feeling that it will involve Declan and she might decide that working in the field is to dangerous, of course I haven’t seen any of the season but I assume that Declan shows up at least two times or so throughout, again correct my if I’m wrong. But it could be a little weird if she says that ‘she’s leaving with Declan’ without Declan actually showing up inside the season.
Anyway, I think that Paget is in her rights to leave and I don’t blame her for doing so, actresses, especially great ones like Paget, deserve a lot more respect than they are getting at the moment. I will follow her work and look forward to seeing where she decides to go with her pilots and future projects and wish her all the best in her endeavours

So here is the deal, the US House of Representatives is trying to pass a bill that would stop access to numerous sites that share content relating to the entertainment industry and this includes video clips, music, movies, television shows, and almost anything related to them. They call it ‘censorship’ and although good in theory has huge ramifications to heaps of websites both in the US and internationally.
Fanfiction is also in this bills line of fire along with Google, Wikipedia, WordPress, YouTube, Facebook, Twitter and THOUSANDS of other websites. PLEASE if you live in the US sign Google’s petition to stop SOPA AND PIPA!

I just wanted to say thanks again for all the support this year for the blog, the comments, views and subscribers. And I also wanted to say Merry Christmas and Happy New Year. I am hoping to have some new posts up in the new year but will admit that life has been pretty hectic at the moment. Hopefully when Criminal Minds Season 7 comes to the small screen where I live I’ll get a little more motivation. Until then I wish you all the best for 2012 and for the festive season.
This isn’t really Criminal Minds related but it is life related so its kind of important. Anyway I have been busy studying for exams and have been having a hard time getting into the mood to study the material and quiz myself. I am pretty sure that there are heaps of people out there doing their final exams or waiting for the holiday period to come around. Anyway, so my brother was working with me on the latest lot of work and I asked him to quiz me. Instead he told me to write down the answers inside a quiz show type style with only 1 min and 30 seconds to answer the questions as best I could.
The music I found is used on the show Minute to Win It and it’s a great way to get you thinking less about all the things you have to study for and just focus on one topic at one time for 1 minute. As many people will know there are tips of fan-fiction writing and short story writing found on this blog and alot of people get stuck with what to write sometimes. I suggest that you start the music and just type whatever comes to your mind for 1 minute and 30 seconds. Some of it will be bad but some might help break past the barrier. Do it a few times, have a break and do it again.
On YouTube there are also 60 second versions you could use. This worked for me and helped my studying practices. If it works for you then let me know, if there is something a little outrageous you do for studying for exams or writing stories then please share This activity is also great for use in any classroom whether it be primary school or higher education.

So I watched the final episode for Suspect Behaviour today and to be honest was a little disappointed by the outcome. I mean writing ‘to be continued’ on an episode when there is, at this point, not going to be a second season for the series seems a little open-ended to me. It gives fan-fiction writers a lot of material though so I hope to read some good fics for the ep.
Any who, I wanted to see what you thought about Suspect behaviour did you like the series, actors, storylines? or not and what you didn’t like or would like to see changed in future. I hope to get the character profiles up for these team members soon and will give my opinion on what made the series good and what made it not so good in a few weeks time.
I’m sorry to tell you that this blog is going on hiatus for a little while. Life is just really full on at the moment so I probably won’t be posting anything new for at least a month or so.
